The Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing was created in 1996 as a partnership between The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Our resources include the expertise and enthusiasm of over three thousand Johns Hopkins nurses and faculty, the Office of Global Nursing, and the PAHO/WHO Collaborating Center in Knowledge and Information Sharing and Management.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is a Magnet Hospital, a distinction awarded for its excellence of nursing practice and organization from the Magnet Recognition Program of the American Nurses Credentialing Center. It is ranked 1st in the nation in the U.S. News & World Report "Best Hospitals" report.
