RAVE- VC: The Rheumatoid Arthritis Vital Education Initiative symposium series
The RAVE activities were developed based on the identified learning objectives. The program delivers educational opportunities on rheumatoid arthritis, using a variety of instructional strategies. Knowledge attainment is assessed throughout the program using formative and summative assessments. These activities include a 2-hour symposium, enduring materials offered as the symposium recording to be delivered as webcasts and/or podcasts. The online RAVE virtual clinic provides 4 30-minute interactive case scenarios to measure participants' knowledge attainment.

 At the conclusion of this podcast, participants should be able to:
  • Distinguish between comorbidities best addressed in the rheumatology
  • Describe the risks and benefits of biologic RA therapy in general.
  • Evaluate the risks and benefits of biologic RA therapy for specific patients.
  • Describe appropriate communication skills to assist patients in making informed decisions about the use of biologic RA therapy.
  • Recognize the benefits of more intensive monitoring of RA treatment efficacy.
  • Implement more efficacious RA therapy without compromising safety.
  • Apply practice improvement tools to better manage comorbidities through enhanced communication with PCPs and patients.
