This program is designed to bridge the practice gaps identified in the Needs Assessment, and is intended to improve participants’ functional awareness of how early treatment initiation and appropriate medication selection will improve clinical outcomes.

Who should attend: Clinicians involved in treating and managing patients with cystic fibrosis, including dieticians/nutritionists, gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, pediatricians, physician assistants, pulmonologists, researchers, respiratory therapists and social workers.

After participating in this activity the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
  • Identify new assessment methods for early lung disease and incorporate these methodologies into patient care
  • Apply effective mucociliary clearance (MCC) management strategies in patients with CF
  • Assess and implement new approaches for early eradication of P. aeruginosa
  • Evaluate the safety, efficacy, and appropriate use for new and emerging CFTR modulating therapies
