Bereavement Support Following Perinatal Loss or Infant Death
The web-based course provides basic information about bereavement support following perinatal loss and infant death. Content includes general grief responses. The grief of selected culture groups is also included. Approaches to support families, online resources, and strategies for self-care of the provider. Participants will apply information to case studies and identify a plan of care for each case study.

  • Describe the grief response following infant death.
  • Plan intervention approaches to support families following infant death.
  • Plan an approach to self care following case review and maternal interview.
  • Differentiate grief responses among families of diverse cultures.
  • Plan intervention approaches to support families following infant death.
  • Identify culture groups in your community.
  • Locate cultural resources in your community.
